Telus brings back ‘buy one, give one’ Black Friday promotion
Vancouver-based national telecom Telus has brought back its Black Friday buy one, give one offer.
Part of the company’s ‘Mobility for Good’ program, Telus is promising that for each new device activation on a two-year Telus financing plan between November 29th and December 1st, it will give a free phone and plan to someone in need.
Per the fine print on the offer, Telus says it will give phones to youth aging out of government care, government-assisted refugees and Indigenous women at risk of or surviving violence.
The fine print also notes that Telus will only give up to a maximum of 7,000 phones as part of this promotion.
To participate, customers only need to buy a phone on any in-market plan with data and voice services with Telus’ 24-month Easy Payment financing program. This can be done online or in select stores.
Telus had a similar buy one, give one offer last year during Black Friday. Last year, Telus pledged to give away a maximum of 5,500 phones.
